Really interesting, but I still do not see a focus on academics.  They said " calculation as needed. "  I am concerned that we need to focus on teaching as many of these kids as possible how to read, write, and calculate to at least the ninth grade level.

Using music, art and movement would be a great way to do this.  The model they are using is an exciting thought.  Maybe in fifty years, Texas will consider it.
