Guest guest
Attempted to prepare my first batch of Essiac tea. Directions say to let pot steep on warm element overnight. I set my electric stove to lowest setting but tea continued to " cook " and reduced to a minimal amount. Added more distilled water near the end but still yielded less than directions stated. Wondering what others have found successful. Has anyone poured the boiled liquid into a crock pot for the steeping time? Also have an old fashioned electric " warming plate " that would be used to keep casserole dishes warm when entertaining. Not sure if either would provide proper temperature. Want to be sure I am preparing an effect brew; that under or over " cooking " will not damage the detox properties of the herbs. Thanks for the help Edie
