We currently have one opening at our center (Fire and Medical Aid) serving 18

Pierce County Fire Districts. Following is the job announcement. Hope that

The Chief Examiner for the Civil Service Commission of Lakewood (WA) Fire

District 2 will accept applications for the position of Lateral Entry Call

Receiver/Dispatcher until noon PST, October 31, 2000. Applications may be

obtained from the District Headquarters at 5000 Steilacoom Blvd. SW, Lakewood,

Washington 98499 during normal business hours 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Interested

persons from out of the area may call to make arrangements to

receive the application packet.

Applicants must have a minimum of two years out of the past five years

experience as a Call Receiver and as a Dispatcher in an Enhanced 9-1-1

Communications Center utilizing a Computer Aided Dispatch System; be English

speaking; a U.S. Citizen; a high school graduate or equivalent; have

identification acceptable to the District; a contact telephone; and own

transportation.

Additional desirable qualifications will include experience as a Fire Service

Call Receiver and Dispatcher, King County Emergency Medical Dispatcher

qualification, and experience utilizing a Tiburon Computer Aided Dispatch

System.

Depending on qualifications, starting salary will range from $2978.00 to

$3165.00 per month plus benefits. The most qualified applicants, as established

from responses to a structured resume, will be selected for testing. Position
