A similar perception, and a similar tactic, saved *our* marriage. Then, and still. Lightly paraphrasing Yoda: " Try? There is no try. ...Only DO! " It still takes work - and *willingness*, on both sides - to save a foundering marriage. ...But well worth it! - Bill, AS, retired geneticist, ...happy man (and wife). -- WD " Bill " Loughman - Berkeley, California USA http://home.earthlink.net/~wdloughman/wdl.htm
Guest guest
My only gripe with the article, is it calls Asperger " a mild form of Autism " . How can anything be considered " mild " , when Finch almost lost everything he held dear to his disability? My husband damn near killed himself from his depression caused by it. There are folks getting a SSI/SSDI monthly check for Asperger diagnosis. Hardly mild if you ask me. Generally Aspies are able feed themselves, use a toilet, and.verbalize wishes. But that shouldn't be the line between serious and mild. I know of Aspies who have serious problems Activities of Daily Livonig skills. They have problems bathing, changing clothes, cooking etc. Article needed a better editor. Nan (yeah, I know the article was to pimp for a book signing, but still.....)
