Mike, I'm very sorry that you and your family have gone through this.

the only help I can think off is to apply for hud houseing and

section 8 houseing,they can put you on emergency list for first

available unit. they have to do something. they should get you a

place to live asap.food stamps,ect. yes, you may have to give up your

pets but your kids have to come first.

it may be a long time before your felling well enough to work again,

some never do. all your positions are probably contaminated, put them

in storage for now or something because you need to get tottally away

from them. salvation army and churches may hekp with money and

cloths. yes, it's very hard to give up pets but theres nothing easy

when it comes to toxic mold exposure. NOTHING. you have to take it

one step at a time which isn't easy when your brain is suffering.

you have to do what you have to do and getting your family into a

clean dry place and some clean non contaminated cloths and bedding is

the first step. it may take many washing and trying different things

to get your own cloths clean. you've made the first major step by

getting out if that place. I'm very sorry that you may have to give

up your pets but if you can't get houseing with them you may have no

choise.

sounds like they are very ill too, if you can find them homes where

someone can afford to try to get them well, it may be the best for

them. about the only thing I know thats cheap that could be a forst

step in hekping you all detox would be to start trying to eat some

freash garlic everyday. not a cure all but may help. what you need to

realize is that everything you have includeing your car could be

contaminated and while getting out of that house has greatly lessoned

your exposure you may still be getting exposed to smaller amounts

from your belongings and it very imporyant to your familys health to

try to stop all possable reactions, this may also mean not just to

mold but other chemocals, perfumes, and I mean anything scented.

shampoos,soaps, ect. your kids cant tell you whats bothering them so

its best to just assume all these things could be keeping their

systems aggervated. upi will get good info. here to help but you need

to try to get your mind as clear as possable and many chemicals ,ect.

could hinder that now. even just getting in a clean place with no

carpet and no belongings would help. even a one room.

Mike and Jeanine, As far as HUD And their emergency waiting list: To be put on

an emergency waiting list you need a letter from doctors stating your illness is

cause from mold, with your diagnosis, doctor agreeing that the moldy unit has

made you ill, and a letter from the landlord that the apartment was moldy and

unsafe for you to live in. Believe me, no landlord is going to write a letter

saying they are renting you a moldy apartment, especially if you are sick. This

would be the landlord setting him self up for a lawsuit. I all ready contacted

HUD on the emergency housing list, and this is the documentation they state you

need. The doctor's letter was the easy part for me, but the landlords letter of
