Guest guest
Hi , thanks! LOL, I tried to change the seat cover, someone had mentioned that too me, but Jim wouldn't lift the seat up and peed on the seat cover, so that didn't work for him. Sheeeesh! The rug around the toilet helped to change it for him to see the difference and find the toilet, but yeah the seat cover solid color to off set it from the toilet was mentioned too. wrote: Here it is: http://www.lewybodydementia.org/docs/LBDAbroch_webLGL.pdf PS -- I've read that's why people change toilet seat colors, etc. If the floor is white and the toilet is white - the LO is not going to see it. But if the seat is changed to a bright color, they will. Also w/ the tub - if you put a colorful mat on the bottom of the tub it doesn't look like an endless pit to them... PS - just read what you wrote Janet... LOL same thing but a vica versa.... > Carol, I forgot to mention, because of the lack of spatial awareness I fogot to mention that sometimes the dark rug seems to look like an open space to drop into and they are afraid to step in that space. Too dark could be a problem, get a solid color that off sets it from the toilet. Welcome to LBDcaregivers.
Guest guest
To make it interesting... you could always get a golf greens bath mat -- maybe he'll want to practice golf at the same time? http://www.baronbob.com/pottyputter.htm > > Hi , thanks! Guest guest
Hahahahahaha, OMG, that is so funny! I don't have the problem anymore with Jim. I have to take him to the toilet now, but just to make life interesting, I just might get one of those for him when he is home on the weekends.
