Guest guest
Hi everybody, My name is Luciana (33), I am married to Chad and we have two wonderful children; the first one is Renzo, he is 2 1/2 years old and the second is Allyson who is 9 months. Allyson was diagnosed with MDS after a serious of tests when she was born...by the way she was born the same day as Jack (s' son) was born, March 30th, 2007. We live in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We didn't know Allyson was going to be born with MDS. However, when I was pregnant something on the blood test said that the baby could have Trisotomy 18, so we did the sonogram with the measurements but refuse to do the amino. The sonogram and measurements were fine so we decided not to risk the baby, we were going to have her anyway. .... So we wen't to the hospital believing that the baby was going to be ok. Allyson is a wonderful little girl and we love her deardly....I was crying a lot during the first month, but my husband is so supportive and great. Allyson had open heart surgery to repair the Atrioventricular Canal Defect when she was 6 months. She is doing very well now. She is on Speech and Physical Therapies once a week. She sits very well and we are working on her crawling. Happy New Year !!! God Bless each of your families. I am always reading all the helpfull information that each one of you have to say. Thank you very much for your support!!! Luciana (Renzo 2 1/2 and Allyson 9 months-MDS) ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Never miss a thing. Guest guest
I just gotta throw my 2 cents in here about the whole crawling thing....(this is funny I promise!) When Austin was getting ready to crawl, we had just gotten our first dog, Sunshine. For those of you who don't know, Sunny is my 125 pound (yes she's on a diet!) German Shepherd (and she's a pure-bred..) For about a month, Austin would just get up on all fours and rock back and forth, but his eyes never left Sunny's tail (it's furry see...) that was his target...to get it and find out what " it " was....finally on October 3, 2003 (yes his first birthday) he found out what that furry tail felt like.....and we heard Sunny yelp for the first time! He wasn't just happy with touching it....he was starting to teeth and decided that her tail would be a lovely thing to bite on! Needless to say it was his first and last time biting the dog...Sunny was so good about it too....she never nipped back at him or anything...she just got up and moved to another room in the house. Now all he does with her is pet her and give her kisses.... But on the other hand it did give him a goal to reach (literally) for.....in order to get to the dog he had to crawl and to crawl he had to figure it out for himself.....maybe getting a dog (maybe not quite as large as mine....) would be a great thing to get your kids crawling LOL And I still have Sunny to this day, she never leaves the boys' side when they are outside....she's very protective of them..... Hope ya'll had a good laugh at this.....
