Guest guest
Unfortunately, I don't think it will make a difference. People from every town/city in the country-and then the rest of the world-write to Oprah about every single topic of interest. It's probably not the right time as yet, but maybe one day it will be. Re: Oprah! What if we did some type of letter and got as many signatures of all the caregivers we can... Do you think she'll take notice then? > > I know that she has been contacted by some on the > Caringspouses group as well and has had no positive > response. > > June
Guest guest
Probably not, unless she has a close friend or relative that gets the illness. As much medical stuff as she has on, you would think she would be interested. --- wrote: > What if we did some type of letter and got as many > signatures of all > the caregivers we can... Guest guest
, I was just thinking the same thing myself yesterday afternoon. Perhaps the idea of pitching it as a caregivers concern (read woman's issue as most of the caregiving is left to us) would better appeal to her/her producers as many of the baby boomers are retiring and coming down with dementia. Then, maybe just before she ends the show she could give away free samples of the excelon patch! Another way to get the message to Oprah faster is to concentrate on getting the names of her producers and pitching them first with hopes that they will want to take up the issue and get Oprah's sign off on it. Courage Re: Oprah! Maybe there would be better luck if the idea would be to focus on Caregiving itself. And then one part of the segment could be about a caregiver of someone w/ LBD... But I could picture that being a topic of interest on Oprah - caregiving... > > > > I know that she has been contacted by some on the > > Caringspouses group as well and has had no positive > > response. > > > > June >
