Sounds great but how do you increase D1? It is a very partial answer.

And I have yet to find what helps the body to convert. Selenium does

not work for me.

Sol,

Why did you go to all T3 and for how long were you on only T3?

Why are you going back to Thyroid S ?

What group was this posted on?

Google and 'Google Groups' finds nothing (related), for:

" Crisler DO " rt3

or

" Crisler DO " " reverse t3 "

Also, there's nothing on his website about rt3

Is the " D1 " enzyme the type-I 5'-deiodinase enzyme?

If that is what he's talking about, there is another, a type-II 5'-D

enzyme. Type I inhabits primarily the liver, kidneys, and skeletal

muscle. Type II inhabits primarily the brain and nervous system. Both

types are responsible for T4-to-T3 conversion.

Selenium is needed for Type I, but not for Type II 5'-D activity. I've

just stumbled on this info (Dr. Lowe and Greg ), and I think this

implies that taking selenium may improve the hypothyroid muscle

tissues or kidneys/liver, but not the hypothyroid brain.

If you have any live experience that relates to this, please post.

Also, if you have any info on what stimulates Type II 5'-D, please

post. I've got a family member who is very brain-hypo.
