Guest guest
I'd like to see more attention paid to the importance of making existing housing that is hit by floods, etc. more mold-resistant by leveraging simple, inexpensive technologies. Not many people can afford to go out and buy new everything. There are lots of easy things that people can do that will make a difference especially BEFORE an emergency strikes. Melinda Ballard has a bunch of excellent stuff on her Policy Owners of America site on stormproofing homes and there is a lot of really good advice on buildingscience.com on best practices in building techniques including retrofits. ??? what do people think they need to know more about? Guest guest
Just a little more information about CertainTeed and their insulation if you are interested. I think I am going to do a little research on the cost of this insulation vs. other types today. I will let you know what I find out. http://www.certainteed.com/NR/rdonlyres/FD2F2D8D-48CE-429E-80CA- 90CFD7EB0D50/0/3024244.pdf http://www.certainteed.com/NR/rdonlyres/F9C91AFA-B16C-4A11-B1B3- DACA395E4C9F/0/3024216.pdf http://www.certainteed.com/NR/rdonlyres/70C47EFE-054C-4C5E-9A43- 2AEA49371042/0/3029083.pdf If your wondering why I care, am building a resource list of products such as these.
