Guest guest
Hello I am concerned and a bit more confused then ever. I need to clean the air quality of my home but am on a fixed budget/income. I find the air cleaners mentioned here are quite expensive to buy. I am wondering with all the green factors abounding are they also expensive to run as qwell? Are they high energy consumers? Looks like I am in a quandry to find a budgee minded unit or two, and one that runs on low energy requirements. The average cost of running the ones with fans are expensive to run I have had a few different types and am searching high and low for something to mett my needs and pocketbook yields. I there anything out there for me to use in my home? I am wondering now Ozone - no ozone filters no filters/ wow there is much to scrutinize for me now. Is there a quality air cleaner that meets the air quality standards and clean the air and not use a high wattage to run it? I would appreciate any suggestions, and I do not want any one to try to sell me anything. I only want suggestions that I can look up myself and decide which and what I want and need after I have researched the suggested units online. Thanks for any suggestions and answers to all and any who answer me accoring to the groups rules. deLadyBex
Guest guest
I just purchased a Rabbit Air BioGS. Have had it running for about 2 months. It does have an ozone generator, but you can turn it off. I compared features, costs, and ease of cleaning filters. This one came out ahead. Its sensors are amazing. It will run at night on slow speed to where you can't even hear it, but if you walk past it, the unit will speed up. All in all, I'd have to say it's a great unit, but you need to compare them all to see what would best suit your needs. The comparisons should be: 1. Initial cost of unit 2. Cost of filters, and frequency of replacement 3. East of replacing filters 4. Support from manufacturer 5. Cost to run unit 6. Decibel measurements when running 7. Type of motor (mine is brushless) 8. Weight and ease of moving around the house 9. Air exchange measurements I also went on Amazon and Epinions to get user reviews.
