Hi ?, Almost every neuro I have heard of admits that headaches are the numbr ONE symptom of chiari! Whew I would be very afraid of this doctor. I don't mean to be rude or anything.........it just seems to me that he doesn't have a clue!!!! How many chiari surgeries has this man done? That may be a good indicatoin of his expertise. Guest guest
I would see another neurosurgeon. If he doesn't think the headaches are related, then he is sorely lacking in Chiari information. If this is the case, I would NOT want him operating on me! Instead of seeking the neurologist he is sending you to, seek out another surgeon! Phoenix, AZ Questions about headaches I saw my neuro on Friday, surgery is scheduled for April 15th, but in the meantime he is sending me to a neurologist for my headaches because he doesn't think they are related. I tried to tell him about the cough headaches and headaches in general. I'm wondering if the neurologist is going to put me through another battery of tests. Or do you think maybe he is (neurosurgeon) doing this as a second opinion? Thanks for all the help. ACM 15mm. herniation. ------------------------------------------------------------------------
Guest guest
The " cough headache " was the FIRST of Rick's symptoms that our nsg related to the ACM! He also gets shooting pains through his shoulder and down his arm when he coughs.
