This will be my first time to speak so publicly about the matter. Hosted by: _Joe /Cliff Zlotnik_ (javascript: Title: EPISODE64 - Sharon Noonan Kramer -Activist/Advocate Time: 01/11/2008 12:00 PM EST Episode Notes: IAQ Radio is back from the holidays this week with a bang. Sharon Kramer has been shaking up the insurance and medical community for years now exposing how the " powers that be " use conflicts of interest and marketing ploys to deny mold and damp buildings cause health problems. Her hard work lead to a recent Wall Street Journal article exposing some of these conflicts. The original paper she authored that caught The Journal's attention was " ACOEM Exposed, A Case Study in Sham Peer Review and Conflicts of Interest " . More recently, Sharon has been published herself in the International Journal of Occupational and Environmental Health with paper she co-authored entitled " ACOEM, A professional association in service to industry " . Don't miss this interview. **************Start the year off right. Easy ways to stay in shape. http://body.aol.com/fitness/winter-exercise?NCID=aolcmp00300000002489

Guest guest
I hope you can listen to the show later because I thought I was ready for the show but you had to put in pin, phone number, and I still had trouble. The instructions weren't clear. I spent so much time messing with it so I had to forget it. I hope it was a good show. > > _TalkShoe - Call - Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Radio_ > (http://www.talkshoe.com/talkshoe/web/talkCastCustomAds.jsp? masterId=1547 & cmd=tc) > >
Guest guest
Sharon, Kudos.... As always, I congratulate you on another very enlightening interview aiming to inform the general public on the health affects many have experienced due to biological and environmental contaminates in water damaged buildings. You have been a profound advocate with no hidden agendas, straight forward, unwavering and unstopable determination concerning the lack of uneducated physicians, politicians and many other professionals in order for many to obtain accurate, proper diagnoses and treatment in a timely manner to prevent irreversible/permanent damage to ones health. The perception of the general public concerning those who have been afflicted with multiple life threatening conditions due to environmental exposures are finally changing with more concern and acknowledgement. To be conservative there are most likely hundrends of thousands of people across this country that have suffered knowingly or unknowingly that would be very proud of you and what you have accomplished in the last couple of years. The majority of these people are the ones that have internet access, there is no telling of the numbers of individuals that don't have the foggiest idea what caused their condition. How this junk science has been well marketed and orchestrated to add confusion throughout our medical community and institutions in order to prevent accountability, responsibility by many of our residential/commercial, health insurance agencies, as many people continue to suffer and lives are destroyed. The tables are now turning and their time has come. Thank you, Sharon Kramer and everyone that has been involved behind the scenes, we couldn't have done it without you. Guest guest
As I review the Radio Interview, I can't help but wonder how the American Medical Association can advise on.. the common cold or seasonal flu? Is it not in the air that we breath? and does it not make some of us sick? If it's a particular substance that becomes wet, seen or unseen, known or not, it evaporates, and carries with it contaminates if it goes unchecked. Some will become sensitive to it, some may not. Some may become very sick and some may DIE. Why is it not reccognized as an indoor plague, eg: Legionaires Disease? Is that not an indoor illness? Wetness attracts " this thing called MOLD " If it's the right conditions, ie: humidity/ dampness, it will flourish. Hello McFly, are you with me so far? If I go to my Dr. tomorrow and tell him I have Cramps, he'll hand me an Rx. If I tell him I have Acid Reflux, I get an Rx. If I say I have a terrible Migraine, I'll get an Rx. If I tell him I'm having Joint Pain, I'll have an Rx. If I tell him I have Sinus Pressure and Pain, he'll hand me an RX. If I tell him I have a Rash, he'll hand me an Rx. If I tell him I have Intestinal Upset, he'll hand out an Rx. I've been having Muscle Fatigue for a while but chalk it up to maybe over doing it. And all of these illnesses come and go at different times. Lets bring all of these complaints together and add a few more such as Flu " like " Symptoms, Chills, Buning Lungs, Shortness of Breath, Short Term Memory Loss, Extreme Irritabilities, Word Finding Problems, Loss of Attention Span, Light Sensitivities, Tremors, Horrific Nightmares, Extreme Fatigue, Heightned Sense of Smell, Visual Blurring, Vibrations Awareness, Extreme Startle Respone, and all of this happening collectively over a number of years! Added Symptom after Symptom .....Until!!!! finally your system becomes so very irritated and depleated that you're a wreck and everyone around you are having similar symptoms but at different times. Then out of the blue all of your Muscle Strength one day is GONE... just GONE, and your not able to function. HELLO OUT THERE... MEDICAL FIELD.... HELLO Lets give it a name...shall we -- STRUCTURAL CONTAMINATION ILLNESS (SCI) < it's NOT Rocket SCI-ence for crying out loud... AND WE ARE... CRYING OUT LOUD! ( I spell checked this for an hour...why? Because we have spelling problems now also! > > Yes - all that is true and great. > > And I also appreciated that they may be gearing up to have YOU as a guest at some point, KC - would be excellent to hear you sometime soon, too. ;-) > > ~Haley >
