Guest guest
Posting #56861, by " who " , on Friday, December 14th, contains a link to an article that appeared in the medical journal: " Allergy and Asthma Proceedings " . This article states the following: " However, most patients presenting with upper airway symptoms in relation to indoor mold exposure do not have IgE-mediated hypersensitivity to molds. This prompts a consideration of nonallergenic but potentially irritating substances produced by molds. " Translated out of " doctor-talk " , and into the english language, what this is saying, is that a person can be sick from mold, even though their allergy [igE] tests results are normal and non-allergic. This is as close as any medical professional can come to saying: " we have been wrong for the last 100 years " This printed out article could be brought, by our board members, to their own allergists, as evidence that our mold reactions might have NOTHING to do with an IgE reaction, a fact which 99.9% of allergists are unaware of. When I attempted to read the article that " who " linked to, in her posting of Friday, December 14th, it took me about an hour to navigate through the process, which involved first having to register with that medical journal for a FREE 60 day trial subscription, in order to be able to read the FULL article. (Get yourself a 60 day FREE trial subscription) The article proves to be very helpful to our members, because, even though it characterizes our suffering as an [possible] illness, the words appear in a professional journal for allergists. To ANY medical professional, nothing is REAL, unless it is first printed in a medical journal of HIS/HER medical specialty. So, NOW its REAL [to him/her]. When I went to the " files " page of OUR board, I could no longer find any way to upload a PDF of the article, to that page. K.C., have you restricted uploading of files to yourself only? I have attached the PDF file of the article for you to put on the file page, if you approve. I had emailed it to your personal email address, a few days ago, as I did with a PDF I had sent you a few months ago, but this time I received no reply from you. Its obvious, from our member's postings, that most of us don't realize that the absence of a positive IgE reaction, when they are tested by an allergist, is just creating the impression, with their allergist, that they are crazy, or neurotic. Now, our members can point out, to their doctors, page 265, right hand column, paragraph 2, where the above words appear in the article. The printout of this PDF file would allow them to " educate " their allergist, with an article from an allergist's professional medical journal, that the allergist could not just " pooh-pooh " away. The authors of the article are allergists from the prestigious Scripps Clinic, in La Jolla, California. The edition of the journal is vol. 28 No. 3, May-June 2007, pages 262-270. REMEMBER! The goal is NOT to embarrass or humiliate your doctor. The goal is to get proper medical treatment for YOURSELF. Don't expect apologies. " God " never apologizes. Cut off this last paragraph, before showing this posting to your doctor!
Guest guest
I'm sorry Joe. I did see your email and did not have the chance to respond to it immediately because I had some very serious pressing issues that needed to be addressed immediately. One concerning my wife's condition and another that I don't need to mention. Yes, I have changed it to where I can only upload. Because of what has occurred recently by some other members (now no longer on the board). We have many that join the board just because they see the numbers to post their spam products, advertise, dating services and porn. Would you like to see this in the files? This is what has made this board a safe place without any extra bagage for all of our members to come and participate, addressing any questions that they may have. I also put a post on here yesterday concerning the holidays and that I am going to try and spend some very important time with my wife and grandchildren, for reasons that I don't need to mention. This should be obvious. If anyone would like to download information into the files all you have to do is email me and as soon as I can I will get back to you, which I have said before. Any new information concerning this issue that anyone would like to put into the folders is much appreciated. I apologize for the slow response, but after many, many years, 24/7, no holidays off, I felt that a short break would be ok and very much needed. I had assumed that this would be ok. To many of you that have showed appreciation on the board and through emails, thank you very much for your kind words. Best of holidays to everyone, KC > > Posting #56861, by " who " , on Friday, December 14th, contains a link to an article that appeared in the medical journal: " Allergy and Asthma Proceedings " .
