Reminder and Info on Genes Day

Hi Everyone

I wanted to send you a reminder and some ideas for Genes Day!

First...if you have not made a Genes Day team, time is running out! Making a

Genes Day team is VERY easy and raising money is very easy too! Just go to our

site www.imdsa.com/genesday.htm and make your team and print out your flyers!

Our T-shirts will be coming in next week and I am sooooo excited about them!

Judie and Therese Hockel designed this shirt and the logo is so beautiful you

have to see it to believe it! You can click on the T-shirt link to view the

shirt from our site.

For every $25 earned you can receive a T-shirt! However, supply is limited so

you have to order early to be sure that you are not left out!

Also, if you haven't made a team and you only want a shirt, you can get one

from the site with a $25 donation by clicking on the Tshirt order form.

Now...for some great ideas that I have heard from some of our teams!

Linette is planning a fantastic community dance! She got a club space donated,

DJ's donated their time, a Salsa instructor donated her time is coming out to

help everyone dance, a sign company donated their services to make a banner and

everyone in Michigan is going to dance the night away! LOL (she has more things

going on there, but the list is too long for me to remember! lol)

It is so easy to get things donated. You just tell them who you are and what

you want that that IMDSA is a non-profit organization and they will receive a

tax-exemption by helping out and most people will be happy to offer you their

services!

Another member is checking into her church doing a Genes Day! I think this is

a great idea! If you go to church, then your church is your family! And, who

better to teach about MDS than your family! Also, in many churches, you do not

traditionally wear jeans, so this is a great way to bring others out to church

in comfortable clothes and most are very charitable and would love to help a

good cause!

So...think about your community and what you do in your community! Think about

the people you know and the things you like to do! The possibilities are

endless because it is all about awareness and letting others know about mosaic

Down syndrome!

clarify, I'm on the prowl. So, since I live in Michigan too, I can't be outdone

by Linette. I must admit I'm getting excited now that I got the team info up!
