Guest guest
A bit about pathogens Don’t know about club steam rooms, safer to use your own space w/ compromised immune systme - warmth, moisture, light.... I seem to recall is the basis for all basic life ( until we found life at 1000000 depths of ocean ). And then there’re bacterium live w/out water, lives in water, withstands extremes of heat/cold.....and it mutates with antiseptics etc..., & fungi that thrive in variable conditions, so what then? The western world is paranoid about every normal bacterium/etc it doesn’t understand. True many bacteria & viruses kill, BUT so do many things we ourselves create.... The more we’re paranoid about ’germs’ & use wipes and sprays etc the stronger THEY become – they’re where LIFE STARTED – you know, the primordial soup..... We’ll never kill them, and they’re not bad anyway – they’re just doing their job description, breaking down decaying matter, like cockroaches do etc - otherwise we’d be fathoms deep in dead leaves & everything that died before now....vegetable and animal matter. ... Get the picture? But we have damaged tissue within us, a natural abode of such pathogens, so yes we need to be wise, not paranoid. Nothing is BAD, it’s just the way it is, in it’s nature.... Just the way the sun shines – not bad not good, but yes, you’ll get sunburnt if.... Or rains/or not......it just does what it does, sometimes it’s what is good for us, sometimes not. None of it’s good or bad in itself. It doesn’t change anything, it doesn’t allow a scapegoat either, just acceptance of how things are.... And in that, somewhere, is freedom from the anger, frustration, why me..... And next time I have to endure the hospital routine – pls remind me!!!!!! (bearing in mind that here, it means enduring 12 to 24 hrs in ED even if you’re presenting w/ letter from specialist, for admission....and that just the start...!) Love to y’all, joy
