Guest guest
Hi , Our doctor prescribed Seroquel for my mom in November to help with hallucinations and agitation. She was on 25mg, 2x/day until last week. It worked well until around Christmas time and then the hallucinations came back and we were worried about her wandering because she is always looking for the children whom she is supposed to be looking after. So the doctor increased her dose to 50mg 2x/day last Monday. So far things are good. She is more tired during the day but is still able to function. We'll see how long this dose is effective. If I'm right, eventually the disease will overrule any dosage of Seroquel and the hallucinations will be back consistently, but I'm not sure. Others who have had more experience will know better than I. Hope this helps as a relative newcomer to Seroquel. Take care. Meds: Reminyl, Wellbutrin and Seroquel. (Mississauga, Canada) Re:meds list I have a question about seroquel. is this the one taken to help parkinsonian symptoms, or is it sinimet? whichever it is, my MILs neurologist told me he was very leary to use it because it would make my MILs hallucinations worse. what have all of you seen? Guest guest
Hi , The sinemet is the one that fights the parkinsons symptoms. That is probably also the one your nuerologist is talking about. The seroquel helps mom a lot with things like hallucinations etc. Ron lisa engles wrote: I have a question about seroquel. is this the one taken to help parkinsonian symptoms, or is it sinimet? whichever it is, my MILs neurologist told me he was very leary to use it because it would make my MILs hallucinations worse. what have all of you seen?
