Guest guest
I have those terrible nightmares sometimes when I don't wear my c-pap. I use to be really traumatized when I woke up by the nightmares but now I am really thankful that I do have them because it is like natures way of saying, " hey, wake-up, something is wrong, you are not breathing right! " So now that I know they are cause from the apnea, I am not so freaked out by them. People are different so some folks who have bad dreams may not be experiencing an apnea attack. I just know that those with sleep apnea are more prone to night terrors and bad dreams if not treated. It is great you are having a sleep study so you will get a proper diagnosis. Bad dreams are not fun at all! --- happyruiam <happyru@...> wrote: > I've never had sleep apnea in the past, and always > felt that I rested > well....UNTILL I was Exposed to MOULD and most > certainly suffered a > Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and that is when I > began having such > Terrifiying Nightmares and even attaking my husband > in our sleep. Guest guest
I never had a sleep problem, before mold exposure, either. Went for study & found out I have Narcolepsy(falling asleep while doing anything) & sleep apnea(actually getting zero REM sleep)but, no reason for it! I'm stubborn, I won't wear the CPAP cause I want to get to root of why I have the apnea to begin with & the few times I did wear it, I ended up w/bronchitis, think it was from the water in the machine for humidification of the air. Hope you're sleeping better! Hugs, Cheryl
Guest guest
I can relate but never was that bad. I did have horrible dreams though, evil type and bad things happening to myself and family. After I found out what was making me sick I would have nightmare about mold growing behind my walls and in my closets. It was awful and caused me to be extremely anxious all day. I would worry and obsecs about everything!!! I had the sleep study done and do have a mild form of sleep apnea. Just started with the sleep machine this week and so far am sleeping much better. Just a lot to do to get ready for bed but no more snoring at all and only waking about once during the night. Good luck!! Sue I've never had sleep apnea in the past, and always felt that I rested well....UNTILL I was Exposed to MOULD and most certainly suffered a Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and that is when I began having such Terrifiying Nightmares and even attaking my husband in our sleep. He had to wake me before he had a black eye. I have since had about 8 or I should say " we " have had about 8 episodes of really unbelievable screaming ..and fits of rage loud enough to wake the neighbors. I go for a sleep test and a nap test next week. **************************************See AOL's top rated recipes (http://food.aol.com/top-rated-recipes?NCID=aoltop00030000000004)
