The Library has a build up of mould in their basement in the children books area and art room. The Library's Chief Librarian Rita Orr says the mould continues to grow. The Board for the Public Library has said because the library is a municipal building, the municipality should pay for upgrades. Deputy Mayor Francis says council agrees with the board's thinking. says the library has been having problems for years with mould. says the capital costs of what need to be done on the library will be paid for by the municipality and not by the Board of the Meaford Public Library. Council has asked staff to bring back a report on what needs to be done immediateley for the Library by January. As well, staff will be doing a feasibility study for long term needs for the Library which will be brought back to the council some time in the new year.
