Guest guest
<<<oh oh! what happened cindy? >>> My trainer had me doing leg extension and leg press super sets. The weight was really too heavy, but instead of saying so, I just did it. At the end of the 3rd set, I was really, really straining (and looking back, probably holding my breath which I try hard *not* to do). Anyway, as soon as I finished the 3rd set, I got a terrible pain in my head. It was worse than migraine pain. I thought my head was going to explode - literally. That was the end of my workout! LOL! I've had a headache off and on all day today too so I'm taking it easy for a few days. - who will speak up the next time the weight is too heavy!!! Guest guest
Congratulations on going back to school to become a personal trainer! Keep us posted on your progress. Actually, one really had nothing to do with the other. I was already in college, trying to get a degree, but decided recently that I should go ahead and get certified as a trainer. Who knows what doors might open once I get certified?! :-) Thanks for the 'congrats' Kerri! It's tough to juggle it all, but it's worth it :-)
Guest guest
What do you do in order to go to school to be a trainer? What kind of school? I would be interested in that! I love studying fitness & health. I live in Nashville - are there any places here I could go? Do you know how I could get started or find info? Thanks, > who needs income after my children go to school & want to do something interesting not boring!

Keep us posted on your progress. Kerri who is interested learning about fitness and nutrition, but not serious enough to go back to school - I do like to read all of the magazines: Shape, Fitness, Energy, Natural Health, etc. __________________________________________________

I'm going to school to get a degree in Health Fitness, but you don't need a degree to get certified. There are many organizations that offer certification, including ACE, ISSA, AFAA and a few others that escape me at the moment. You might try a web search and see what it pulls up. You buy the study materials and take as long as you need to study, then take the test when you're ready. Most (probably all) of the organizations offer a weekend seminar that you can attend to learn as much as possible. Being in Nashville, I bet you can find seminars there. It's a big city. If you have trouble finding websites, let me know and I'll send you what I have. ISSA has very helpful customer support. If you call them, I'm sure they'll be happy to answer all your questions. Good luck and let me know if you have any more questions! I'm happy to help!!
Guest guest
Thank you so much ! I will definitely check into that! Do personal trainers make a lot of money? Do you know the average income? I would love to do something to help others & myself in the process. I need to work on my own fitness some more before I try to tackle another person's health or fitness! You must be very fit to be able to be a trainer? Are you fit? Thanks again,
