Guest guest
You must have a lot more coordination then I do... I get sooo lost when I try step videos. Unless they are totally beginners tapes. Darcy who did Cathe Pure Strength, Chest, shoulders and triceps last week though (I REALLY felt it for a couple days afterwards too) > btw I think Janick and are the only ones that can tell
> yah what is on what tape

I seriously doubt that, because I don't have all the tapes, so I'm
far from an expert in that department!

Janick
who has been turned off by buying additional taebo tapes because of
the canadian exchange rate (and who has been doing a lot more step
lately with Cathe... boy do I love her workouts)

As Deb has said: " Fitness is a journey and it begins with the first step. Guest guest
Hey I don't mind at all Bev. That's why I enjoy the group so much, cause you all are loads of help. Also soo much motivation.. =) Love you all! Thanks for letting me know about the Firm Kit.. I want to cross train, so I don't get burned out again. That is my problem I get in a routine, and even switch the taebo tapes, but I get so bored. So I will see how the cross training does. I will keep you all posted. But thanks so much for your Input! =) Smiles, Lacey
Guest guest
me too! I am interested too about the firm kit.
Guest guest
The FIRM kit was a bit expensive, I think $89.95. It comes with 3 videos - cardio sculpt, ab sculpt, and body sculpt and a fanny lifter which is a 14 " platform that seperates into 6 " and 8 " platforms. The cardio and body sculpt tapes require the fanny lifter and dumbbells. The ab sculpt tape uses just the fanny lifter. I wouldn't say it is like tae-bo, but it is fun and a good change of pace from tae-bo. I initially ordered it because they say that the fanny lifter helps tone that area where your butt and thigh connects. That is my major trouble area. Kerri who recommends if you do order it, don't get it from firmdirect.com because they charge an outrageous amount for shipping --- JEWELLYNN2@... wrote: > How much is the firm kit? Guest guest
Lacey, I hope you don't mind me jumping in here...I have the firm kit as well and I really like it. I've been switching back and forth between The firm and Taebo for cross-training and I'm starting to notice some changes. They are a nice change of pace from Taebo. With shipping, taxes and brokerage import fees (for shipping to Canada), it came up to 92.19$US. I've had a really good experience with QVC and would recommend getting from them (although the price is higher now) or from Collagevideo who has also excellent customer service. Guest guest
Lacey, I like the firm kit a lot. It is a really good cross training match with tae-bo, especially if you don't do any other resistance training. Cardio sculpt is a cross training workout in itself by combining strength training and cardio in one workout. Body sculpt is all strength training. Ab sculpt is an ab workout (like abs and glutes, but without the glutes.) I like using the fanny lifter because it works my biggest trouble areas. I'd recommend it if your want to add some strength training into your workouts. Kerri who will be doing cardio sculpt today to kind of make up for not doing cardio yesterday and today being a strength training day --- JLsaleen7877@... wrote: > Let me know how you like the Firm kit Kerri! > > Smiles, > Lacey > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been > removed] > > __________________________________________________

Guest guest
hi sandie - i do use a mirror sometimes but it distracts me from what im supposed to be doing. if im glancing at the mirror, i dont have total concentration on my moves... im not looking where im punching or kicking... and that isnt a good thing! so while it is there for the occasional quick form check, i dont really use it very much. *~*~*~*~* Carolyn in ONT Canada todays workout: guts & butts RE: > I *wish* I had a mirror, it would > help me to check my form out. Hey Cola )!!!!! Actually and Shellie advocate looking in the mirror to help improve your form. They say if you can't see what you're doing, then you don't know how to improve. When we were in MD, they would have us do a move (say hooks) and have your eyes follow what you're doing. Then they had us do the move again, but this time while looking straight ahead in the mirror. It really does make a difference when you can see what you're doing. I know when I'm at the BBWTC, it helps me concentrate much better, because I can see what I'm doing. I still would follow the move, but the majority of the time, I would look in the mirror. If you feel your form is way off, don't do it all the time, just every so often. Sandie, Tae and Bo who wants the Muppets to get into Chicagoland--Grrrrrrr......)!!!! ===== " The task ahead of us is never as great as the power behind us.
