I would like our story to be added please: My boys were put on miralax at the ages of 1 and 1 1/2. They were on it, one child for 5 years and the other one for 7 years. During those years they experienced many different symptoms:aggression, cramps, constipation, bloating, nightmares, ADHD, candida, leaky gut, tics, cavities, nose bleeds, inconsolable crying, angry outbursts, insomnia , hyperactivity, clingy, whiny, uncooperative behavior, regression, dairy and gluten intolerances, calcium crystals in urine and stool, major meltdowns, hysteria almost over insignificant things, heavy metals in the body not detoxing (lead and mercury toxicity)aggressive behavior, hard to focus, constant nervousness, chewing on things, isolated behaviors, no urine output, excessive urine out put, metabolic acidosisburning stinging while urinating, burning stinging rashes from BM, no bowls for many days, low potassium, magnesium, calcium, and zinc.We are in the process of repair all the damages through our functional medicine doctor and a low oxalate, gluten and diary free diet. I had lost my boys during that time and slowly getting them back. And back to better health. Unfortunately, my boys have lost their childhood as other boys and girls have with no restriction, no constant testing, and not having many many doctor appointments to get them better. My boys have to have B12 shots 3 times a week for many many months to help detox the miralax out of their body.They will never be the same as they should have been before taking miralax.
