Guest guest
Dr. Shoemaker mentions in his book that many mycotoxins can cause cholestasis, which means that bile flow from the gallbladder stops. This is an experiment where research was done on cyclosporin A which is a member of a family of immunosuppressive mycotoxins sometimes found in stachybotrys (see ref below) that is widely used as a drug to stop organ rejection in transplants, etc. (There has been LOTS of research funded on cyclosporine, including on its neurotoxicity to many people) The mechanisms of action might be shared with some other immunotoxic mycotoxins that have also been studied for use in immunosuppression, cancer chemotherapy, etc. I hope that this kind of information is helpful to people in their research
