Just in case your family hasn't noticed lately, you matter too! I am just whooping it up over here in TO. Your mom will get over the money issue soon enough and if she starts to give you a hard time once she starts signing those checks just tell her to come right over and deal with it herself. We made the mistake of waiting too long to get a caregiver/help for mom because we didn't want to touch their money but once we took the step I remember my sister and I asking eachother why we hadn't done it earlier. I suspect the larger family will figure out that this plan did indeed come from you and if not drop LARGE hints - you deserve the credit for it. Again, so very happy and proud of you Emma.
