Guest guest
im interested in steves version.. i think it means katie doesnt care what people think or what happens.. its all ok with her. And we're all trained to think we should care. roslyn- -- In Loving-what-is , " pip " wrote: > > katie said something like this at the cleanse and i'm interested in > peoples comments > > " people should care, but I don't and so that means that there's > something wrong with me > > I'd ;love to hear what this means for others > > pipxx >
Guest guest
Pip ~ I've heard her say something like this. For me it was that 'caring' implies that there could be something happening that isnt perfect, that isnt exactly as it should be. If I really, really knew that absolutley everything that occured was for the best, how could I 'care', which to me implies concern. I would simply be happy, or grateful , or observing (I don't really know since I'm not there yet). > > katie said something like this at the cleanse and i'm interested in > peoples comments > > " people should care, but I don't and so that means that there's > something wrong with me > > I'd ;love to hear what this means for others > > pipxx >
Guest guest
Hi Pip and , You just helped me get a bit clearer on this I think - there's an example of Byron and a friend in the desert and the friend has a stroke - she just sits with the friend and after it passes the friend says something like " You didn't care what happened at all " . I'm just realizing that for me it doesn't mean " uncaring " , it just means being completely present and completely unattached to any future outcome. I've been looking at a job opportunity this morning and getting quite anxious about it - and just realizing that I'm definitely attached to a future outcome - I care about whether I get the job or not. With love and thanks, Jon > > > > katie said something like this at the cleanse and i'm interested in > > peoples comments > > > > " people should care, but I don't and so that means that there's > > something wrong with me > > > > I'd ;love to hear what this means for others > > > > pipxx

Not caring implicitly says I have no concern for a particular outcome. Give me sunshine, give me rain, I don´t care. What a freeing state when ANYTHING IS ACCEPTABLE. Guest guest
Hi, What does it mean to care? I like Jon's idea. To care means to be attached to a story, an illusion. In the perfect present there is nothing to care about. There is no story. Who cares if I care? Do I care? I don't care? How do I act when I care (don't care)? Why should people care? Is it just my desire that others should agree (support) my illusions/story? Do I believe that others should have a story to care about? Who's business is their story? I think many people are accustomed to thinking that in order to show that " you care " you must mirror the feelings (especially unhappiness) of the person that you are " caring for " . Is this true? Does another unhappy person improve the story? What are the actions that you might take (if you care). Must your feelings mirror the other person in order to do the actions? Must " you care " in order to take those actions? Woman sitting, woman standing, woman walking. Do I care or do I just do? TA: I can be completely present and supportive and loving of myself or others without being attached to a story or an outcome. peace to all, Helen > > > > > > katie said something like this at the cleanse and i'm interested in > > > peoples comments > > > > > > " people should care, but I don't and so that means that there's > > > something wrong with me > > > > > > I'd ;love to hear what this means for others > > > > > > pipxx >
Guest guest
So taking Terrance3047's email on this: > I think that´s it, exactly. Today I'm feeling very hooked, so these are some of the things I'm noticing " I " care about / fear / are not acceptable: Ending up living on the street Letting people down Other people getting angry at me Making a mistake Being seen as a useless f#ck Being out of control Wasting time And probably a whole bunch of other stuff I've not even got close to yet :-) From deep in the doo-doo, Jon

Guest guest
thanks for your insight on this I get that really I don't care about this guy especiallyin the moment when he goes and gets naked with other women in the hot tub at the house. I divorce him and I'm getting that we both just want different things. I really want to be able to love him and realise we are not meant to be in a relationship . Im still caught up in the idea that he can give me something i can't give myself so I'm now talking to myself the way i wanted him to, I'm telling myself how amazing I am, I'm hugging myself, kissing myself, feels weird and kinda sweet at the same time. Today I moved out the house because that seemed the kindest thing to do for me. pip ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Looking for last minute shopping deals? That's the good part: you get to do it yourself! I see you are doing a wonderful job at giving you what you want. Even if he could give you what you can't give you... why should he? ;-) > pip Love,
