Great brags !! Congrats on your happiness

Here are my brags for brag day!! First, I am back on the eating plan that <BR>

makes me feel my best, yay! Lord knows I'll probably go off again at some <BR>

point, but I think I have really lightened up on myself and accepted that I <BR>

will not stick to my plan 100% of the time and that is ok The important <BR>

thing is to not let one bad day turn into a few bad months, which is the case

<BR>

for me! It's not about the food anyway, and I am starting to finally <BR>

understand that! <BR>

<BR>

My other brag is that I got an email from my Pastor saying that he hopes to <BR>

have my First Place curriculum next week Yay! I can finally start this <BR>

thing! He also said that he has heard a lot of good things about the walking

<BR>

group and has included information about it in out outreach materials! It's <BR>

so funny, when he introduces me to people he says " This is , our <BR>

fitness expert. " LOL! During a sermon last week, he mentioned how Free Will <BR>

Baptists LOVE to eat, then said " Unless we listen to and watch our <BR>

weights. " LOL!! It cracks me up that people identify me as some sort of <BR>

fitness leader when I hardly look the part!! But that's ok, I feel more <BR>

motivated than ever to whip myself into shape and show everyone what God can

<BR>

do when you trust in Him (or whatever higher power you chose to believe in).

<BR>

I am just so super duper excited about the way things are going and the <BR>

direction God is leading me in. <BR>

And lastly.... I have found the most amazing friends through this list and I

love you all so much... I just wanted to say that! <BR>

congrats on your achievement with this amanda!!

it goes to show that fitness starts inside of us, not on the outside.

there is no need to *look* the part... you are doing great working your

body from the inside out and your pastor seems to know this!

AWww, That is so sweet Caroline! Thank you for saying that! I hope my pastor

knows this. He is so funny, last Sunday he was giving some kind of example of

something and he was talking about how is family goes for walks in his

neighborhood. Then he says " may not believe that any walking goes on

in my house, but it does! " I am always harassing him about not showing up for

the walking group. He went on later to talk about not putting junk in your

mind. Then he mentioned how I am always on everyone to eat right and he says

" Think about what is saying, you can't load up on twinkies and then

expect to climb Mount Everest. It's the same thing if you fill your head with

negative things, you can't expect to go out and do your best. " I just cannot

believe that ME of all people, is the fitness " guru " of our church. It blows

my mind. That is so not me!! LOL! God knows I need this kind of constant

reminder to stay focused. I am very thankful for the position He has put me

in. Anyway, I got all my materials for my weight loss group. I have a lot of

work to do before I can start the meetings! There is a lot of stuff to go

over I hope to start it up in the next few weeks!

This goes to show you how we have such a biased

opinion of ourselves. Your pastor and the others in

your church see the enthusiam and knowledge you have

for fitness. Although you have made this change in

your life, you are still stuck with you old idea of

yourself. It's funny how we are the last to accept

the changes we have made.

why I loved the evaluations of speeches at

Toastmasters - I got an unbiased opinion of my speech,

not the negative spin I always put on it

That is so true Kerri. It took me *forever* to see

the changes in me--and it still does--but it was like

no time that others saw it. They didn't even know

that I was doing anything at the time.

I wanted to do Toastmasters--we had it back when we

were the big company--but I had a meeting already the

same night (.

I really liked that one too. It's definitely a keeper for me too. I'm trying

to put together a bunch of quotes that I like so I can frame them. I was

thinking about using one of the collage(sp?) frames then hanging it up in my

office at home.
