IT'S not only the feelings of a recently married Army wife that have

been left in tatters, after she discovered her wedding dress

destroyed by mould growing in her military accommodation.

Army housing in Warminster has once again come under scrutiny after

a recently married 18-year-old woman discovered her wardrobe and

some of her furniture ruined by mould growing in her home.

The Army wife, who wishes to remain anonymous, shares her married

quarters near Warminster's School of Infantry with her husband and

his three-year-old daughter.

She said: " The mould has ruined my wedding dress and all my

clothes. It is in our cupboards and up the walls. Where the damp is

in the living room the curtains are hanging off so why are they

still putting people in these houses. "

She added: " It is just disgusting. We can't believe it. We are

applying to move out because it is that bad. "

West Wilts MP Dr Murrison was in talks with the Army Families

Federation on Thursday to discuss topical issues of concern such as

schooling, healthcare and the most commonly complained about

concern, housing.
