" In my opinion " , I would much rather her have shunt surgery than the decompression or any of the craniofacial surgeries that she has had. She recupperated rather quickly from the shunt surgeries. I would say she seemed to be back to normal after about 4-5 days and back at school. She only stayed in the hospital overnight. With , the pain from the shunt surgery was nothing in comparision to the decompression. This is just our experience. Maybe someone else can enlighten you more.
