Guest guest
Hey everybody~ I am now 11 weeks post op. Well, I just got back from the hospital. I origionally had a CT scheduled, and then I was supposed to go visit my NSG. Due to the weather (yep, I'm its snowing AGAIN) my appt. was cancelled with the NSG because he had an emergency head trauma come in. Well anyways, I was sitting in the radiology waiting room and my Dr. came down and said that he came down because he wanted to check in with me and see how things were. After looking at the water pouch on the back of my head, and listening to my symptoms and stuff, he said he'd look at the CT, but he's pretty sure he's going to have to put in a shunt. He'll tell me at my rescheduled appt. after he looks at the CT. Anyways, I guess I should get to the point of the letter, eh? Heh heh. Well, Could anybody with shunts tell me a bit about it? How long is recovery time? What is the pain like? I'd love any info I could get. I'm trying so hard to get my health under control by my senior year....but it's just not working!!! Thanks in advance, Violet ------------------------------------------------------------------------
