Guest guest
As I mentioned before, I would post some info about suppliments or vitamins, & or minerals. Well it's time to do that cause I am too pissed to write about the lack of communication in this area, at present. And I wanted to tell, on , (and nope I ain't saying " hillbilly " . round here, that'll get yer ass dragged out into the yard, and kicked till you can't say it no more, even if the true definition,of the word hillbilly, is " Michigan farmer " , as some of us know) (while he can not defend himself), for being the one who gave us the CPAP machine , that saves from, waking with seizures , all of the time, and gets her through the bad ones, and bad days, while I get help on the phone, or try to get meds ready, o2 going, whatever. Anyway, here is info, on Magnesium, that is very accurate, to my knowledge. " Until we can define, more precisely, how much magnesium is needed for health-maintenance at different ages and under different physiologic, pathologic, dietary and environmental conditions, it is better to provide more than less magnesium. " - Mildred S Seelig , MD., New York University Medical Center. If you are a woman , and you count yourself in with millions of other woman who suffer to some degree from " premenstrual tension " , this too may be lessened or eliminated by taking suppliments of magnesium taken with B6. If your nerves are often on edge, or you might notice an amount of muscular tremor. If you have a family history of heart problems , or may have a reason to fear you are at risk from heart problems. Even a heavy drinker, can sap your magnesium . This , (for most people seems to be the 400 Milligram a day range) Therapeutic dosages: Magnesium supplements will stop a deficiency, the symptoms include..... irritability, nervousness, uncontrollable muscle contractions and a general loss of neuromuscular control. people can end up with this deficiency from long periods of nausea, diarrhea, or have been on magnesium free diets, or , lots of alcohol, even. Magnesium can be toxic to people with kidney failure and to women who are taking a magnesium-containing drug for toxemia of pregnancy. And remember, please, magnesium is used on brain injury patients, with reported success , in university of Missouri , at least, that I have knowledge of. ------------------------------------------------------------------------
Guest guest
Great info!! Anyone interested in even more should look up this book (I bought it and LOVE it) " Prescription for Nutritional Healing " by F. Balch, MD and Phyllis A. Balch, CNC. It's not as " froofy " as it sounds. It works just like an information book on prescription drugs, telling you which vitamins and herbals can interact negatively or positively with each other and also warns against certain herbals for people with high blood pressure, etc. They remind you that herbs are just like drugs, and should not be taken willy-nilly. (anyone needing definitions of " froofy " and " willy-nilly " will just have to make do!! hehehe) Wendi--NM Original Article: /list/chiari/?start=13643 > > As I mentioned before, I would post some info about suppliments or vitamins, & or minerals. > > Well it's time to do that cause I am too pissed to write about the lack of communication in this area, at present. > > And I wanted to tell, on , (and nope I ain't saying " hillbilly " . > round here, that'll get yer ass dragged out into the yard, and kicked till you can't say it no more, even if the true definition,of the word hillbilly, is " Michigan farmer " , as some of us know) > > (while he can not defend himself), > for being the one who gave us the CPAP machine , that saves from, > > waking with seizures , all of the time, and gets her through the bad ones, > and bad days, while I get help on the phone, or try to get meds ready, o2 going, whatever. > > > Anyway, here is info, on Magnesium, that is very accurate, to my knowledge. > > > " Until we can define, more precisely, how much magnesium is needed for health-maintenance at different ages and under different physiologic, pathologic, dietary and environmental conditions, > it is better to provide more than less magnesium.
