Dear Confused,

You post grabbed my attention. My heart goes out to you and I know

you do not need any help from me and the following thoughts came to

me:

1. Look for your immediate beliefs, such as:

I need to do The Work.

I need to sleep during the night.

I need to have normal skin.

I need a clear mind.

I need to do something about this singer.

2. If you are trying to do The Work alone, then find someone to

facilitate you in the Work.

3. After question #3 " How does it make you feel? " , add the following

sub questions, if you have not already:

3.a.Can you see a reason to drop this thought? (And I am not

suggesting that you CAN drop it.)

3.b.Can you find one " peaceful reason " to keep this

thought/belief? One reason that does not produce stress?

4. Get some more physical activity. Take a walk, exercise, wash

your car, move the furniture, just get the body moving and see how it

affects your mood.

Best Regards, Steve D.

Dear Confused,

You are welcome.

You said: " but sometimes even a guy who know the stuff get confused,

to look at yourself is different.. "

Yes, doing the Work on yourself is more difficult. The Ego enjoys

judging others but can get really tricky and defensive when we

attempt to question our own thinking. That is why suggests

doing The Work on your neighbor. That is the beauty of The Work, no

matter where you begin, you eventually arrive at the Truth and as it

has been said: " The Truth shall set you free. "

You said that you are getting stuck especially on Question #4. The

answer to #4 must come from your heart. This requires the Mind

asking the question " Who would I be or How would I feel without this

belief/thought? " then you close your eyes and get still and wait for

your heart to provide the answer. The Work is a meditation. Getting

to the Truth requires you to get still and listen for the heart's

answer. No one can do this for you but all that is required is for

you to have a " little willingness " to experience who you would be

without this belief.

Blessings, steve d.

thanks steve.-

ive always had trouble with 4.. because my mind so loves to be

right and at times. not open minded.

or i dont listen to my heart

theres also the question 3 what do you get out of believing

this thought..

That might cause an attachement to the thought

question 4 could be the opposite of the answer in 3..

with the thought stress without the thought less stress.

for an obvious example.
