Keep in mind that I'm carless/licensless... so if there's no public transportation from the airport or no convenient cab ride I may need to ask for a ride if someone is going through the airport at the same time... Hugs LOL Donna R Caregave for Mom (after I brought her from WI to MI) for 3 years and 4th year in a nh. She was almost 89 when she died in '02. No dx other than mine. Re: 2008 Gathering lololololololol.....I really am planning on going but at the same time I need to be realistic. So far there have been two votes for the Second week of August and that weekend I wouldn't be able to go because I've got birthdays on my end. Maybe third weekend in August? I consulted my calendar and it states that Monday is a civic holiday but since I'm Canadian I'm not sure if this is an American holiday as well????? I'm going to try my darndest to make it and really do hope that I can. If I can't I will be very disappointed in myself but will look forward to hearing from all those who attended and pics as well. Where it is going to be held?? LOLOLOL I couldn't stand Cal. when I visited my daughter when she lived out there. And that was in the middle of summer. I had to change clothes there 3 xs a day to keep comfortable. Re: 2008 gathering Are we also taking WEATHER into consideration when find a gathering place? I am from California and hear the mid-west is not the best weather in August. Of course, that could be a viscious lie, but how would I know? If I'm going to have a weekend of relaxing, I don't want to have bad weather. In fact northern Michigan is one of my favorite places in late summer. The weather is usually warm but not crazy hot and there are SO MANY fabulous outdoorsy things to see and do. So thats my take...
