Guest guest
Looking at PubMed for stuff on mycotoxins like ochratoxin, aflatoxin and the trichothecenes it appears that the major routes of elimination are liver > bile > gallbladder > small intestine > feces OR reabsorbtion Those MYCOtoxins that go into the bile and end up recirculating are the ones that cholestyramine can remove.. Without cholestyramine, SOME MYCOTOXINS STAY IN THE BODY FOR A VERY LONG TIME.. Even with cholestyramine they recirculate (Thats why Shoemaker says four times a day) Some mycotoxins also go Kidney . bladder > urine. (A different situation) Some mycotoxins usually get mostly excreted in feces but when an animal or person is exposed to a lot, the bile route is DRAMATICALLY slowed down or halted by something called cholestasis. That can injure the liver and/or gall bladder. Then very bad things appear to happen. Sweat doesn't seem to be the way mycotoxins leave the body from what I have read just now. Other toxins yes.. I think mycotoxins, no.
