Hello everyone,

Its nice to have all the information regarding hypogonadism shared here. But i

would request all the members that while posting, please mention your age and

diagnosis, coz its very difficult to see all the post without referring to age

and diagnosis. Does anyone else have the same view ?

Well, to my layman's eyes what your doctor said sounds right.

Doesn't sound like you have any of the major symptoms of low T like

concentration problems, depression, mental fog, anxiety, panic

attacks, poor libido, erectile disfunction, etc so your doctor's

approach sounds reasonable to me. I'd be interested in seeing your

new test results for comparison to your old ones.

Just curious, where you ever a steroid user? The reason I ask is

that from what I've read the use of steroids can cause desensitizing

of parts of the HPG axis and possibly cause the physical symptoms

you mention, especially if they are used in the teens or early 20s.

Sometimes it takes years for the HPG axis to recover and sometimes

it doesn't fully recover on its own. In those instances sometimes a

short hCG trial will bring the Testies back to full function,

sometimes not depending on the extent of steroid use. Just some

ideas, don't know if they apply to you. Wonder if anyone else has

any ideas on this?

Curious request...what does age and diagnosis have to do with someone

posting? Can't figure out why that's important unless you're looking

for some sort of qualification.

My suggestion is take the information on these boards, and any other

boards as just friendly advice. It may, or MAY NOT, be accurate or

medically valid. That's what doctors are for as they are the only ones

trained and licenced to give out medical advice in any athoritative

manner (good and bad). These boards are only for informational

purposes and are largely opinion based. And we all know what opinions

are like!?!?

Hello everyone,

We all know that these post are for friendly and informative discussions only.

The only point i was referring to is that while reading a thread we can relate

to the problems a person is facing , if we know that we both have the same

problem. Anyway it was just a thought.

Its always desired to know what is happening with patients of similar age and

diagnosis. Anyway i would reiterate the statement that it was just a thought.

Ah, okay...I get it. Looking for someone to relate to. I just

created a database where people can post their specific diagnosis

and treatment information. Perhaps this is a good way to get this

information stored in one location rather than having it on every

post.

The database is called " Patient Diagnosis Registry " . Post your

information there.

Iguess it really doesn't, unless you are 20 and have a problem. I am in my

50's, have been on TRT for years, and am glad I found a DR who will continue to

help me feel good, acive and not depressed. So here's hoping you all find a good

DR too. They are hard to come by. I had to fire two Uroligist's. One I went

to said my balls were small and took me off T. In six months I was so down,

moody and lacked energy, but the got bigger. SO WHAT. The I went to another

Uroligist and he put me on gels that didn't work, and one smelled so bad that I

threw it away. So the KEY is finding a DR who will LISTEN and RESPOND.

  • 2 years later...

Sharon & I would like to wish all the members a Happy New Years.

Hopefully for all it will be better than the previous ones and finally

the year when our condition will be acknowledged, accepted.
