LOL I had to laugh about Isabella pointing to her nose! LOL I knew how worried

you were when the therapist said she should know her body parts at 12 months! I

guess she is making sure that she makes the incredible checklist the therapists

have for her!

Margarita, congrats on the up coming addtion to your

family. My daughter is 1 and also has mds and triple

X. I know right now how scared and emotionally

drained you are worrying about your new little one.

You are one step ahead of the game by knowing that

your little could need help. I did not find out that

my daughter had mds until she was almost 10 month old

and it was only a fluke we found out. Some of the

parents here will tell you that they did not find out

about mds until the little ones were 2, 3, or even 4

years old. You will be able to get early intervention

sooner than most, which will help your little one

thrieve. If this makes you feel any better my

daughter is 1 years old, she took her first two steps

without assist of any toys. She yells first thing in

the morning " I'm up " . She can point to her nose now.

She loves taking a bath and playing with her toys.

She so far has not had any health issues, thank God,

except for one eye she is far sighted in. I am sure

there might be some delays down the road but you just

have to take it one day at a time. This group is

really good at answering questions. For right now try

not to worry and just be happy about the up-coming

birth of your child. Things will all work out.
