In order to achieve 5 star/diamond ratings hotels get get " EXTRA POINTS " for " ambiance " aka fragrances in the registration area. This was confirmed by a hotel manager here in Vegas. IT seems AAA thinks it creates an ambiance and will reward you for such added pollutants into the ambient air. So, when you get your AAA renewal notice, keepit in mind....
