Guest guest
Sharon I'm not a Dr but it sounds like she might have some hypersensitivity going on from her exposure from the school. My 8 yr old is sick as well. Three things you always need to remember to control. Enviroment, Food, and Skin. If she got sick from her first school the last place she should be is that school. Is she doing any treatment for this? a Sharon <shha2002@...> wrote: My daughter has attended two different schools over the past four years. All I know is that for two years she has been sick off and on. We spent a quiet holiday this year and by the time Christmas rolled around my daughter was feeling better. She continued to improve over the holidays and was anxious to go back to school. She stopped horsebackriding and has only been once prior to returning to school. She did not get sick. Two days ago she sang in the choir at the old school and now she is sick with the same symptoms. I have tested my house in a few different places and my husband and I visually inspected the house from top to bottom. I'm trying to figure out where she is being exposed. What should I do next? I am so afraid for my daughter and doctors are so useless when it comes to this disease. I live near Denver, CO. Guest guest
Could also be a car - we have members who have vehicles that don't air out completely and have tested their homes inside and out only to find the toxins in the car. Guest guest
Sharon, I'm a teacher who is now disabled from a sick school and my son was in a sick school next door. Go to schoolmoldhelp.org and you will find a parent resource guide to help you know how to proceed. This resource really helped me a lot when I didn't know where to turn for help.Don't wait! My son has chronic health problems from his exposures. Your child's health is too precious.Design a plan to ensure her safety now.
Guest guest
Haley is right; our vehicles were terribly contaminated & my boys got nausea & vomiting every time we put the heat on; the smell was horrendous. Although, sounds like her old school is what's making her ill. I wish you well on your quest for answers for her. Guest guest
You know I have thought about her getting sick from our cars and my daughter says she does get sick from the new smell in my car so I don't rule it out however I would get sick as well because I am also susceptible. I just found out that another child from school was sick after singing in the gym at the intermediate school. I have talked to the mom and she doesn't know why her daughter is sick. She also has been sick three or four times this school year and this last time she took her to the doctor. She has nausea, dizziness and fatigue. Surprise, surprise the doctor couldn't figure out what was wrong with her. Are they just plain ignorant or what? I directed her to Shoemaker's website. Thank you, Shoemaker.
