Last night, I found out that the house I was to have moved into on August 1st

still isn't done. Guess that is what I get for trusting people too much and for

not realizing that someone who is renovating something for the first time will

take twice as long to get done. Going back this evening to see how much she got

done in the past 24 hours - but realize that it may be up to another two weeks

before I move into the house.

This morning, I received a call from the place that I'll be working. I will be

going through a two-hour orientation tomorrow afternoon with a few others and be

getting my chef's hat as well. I'm glad this is happening, as (1) I will be

able to better know what my schedule will be like next week and going forward

and (2) I will have a better semblance of structure in my life. I hope to never

have another week like last week ever again in my life - when I had no sense of

structure whatsoever. That was an experience and a half for me.
