Guest guest
There have been three unsuccessful attempts at forming a state EMS association since I've been involved in the profession, and a fourth is currently attempting to gain a foothold. The previous failures were due mainly to wide and varied political differences and an almost total lack of compromise. EMS providers in Texas are a hardheaded bunch. I would point at the recent debate regarding the acronym for the Licensed Paramedic as an example of just how difficult it is to get us to agree on even simple items. This is one of the hurdles we must overcome in order to complete our rite of passage from technician to professional. I don't see it happening any time soon, but I sure wish somebody would prove me wrong. Donn ------------------------------------------------- D.E.
