The two complaints came from residents who were contacted by someone claiming to be from Public Health about inspecting heating and air conditioning units for mould last week. Public Health does not conduct heating or air conditioning inspections in private homes, officials said. They also wear photo identification and carry business cards. They advise anyone approached about mould inspection by someone claiming to work for the health unit to call the police at 1-888-310- 1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS, and Public Health at 519- 631-9900.
