,

I'm so glad you're feeling better than you have in years. Are you doing the bronchial hygiene daily? I often hear a wheeze when I do the Acapella -- do you?

Take care,

Cassie

Thanks Cassie

Yes I'm first on my list these days, I do it before I even get out of bed.

Followed by a whole

lemon squeezed into a cup of black tea( a natural brochodilator) and a warm

shower. It

all works like Roto-Rooter !

Yes I sometimes get a wheeze if I blow too hard. When that happens I stop, do

some

gentle diaphragm breathing, sip some warm tea and then get back to the acapella

, it

often moves the phlegm thats causing the wheeze.

What number do you have the setting on ?

Cheers

Hi ,

I have my Acapella set to the second setting from the left. How about you? Also, why do you stop the Acapella when you hear the wheeze after blowing too hard? If I hear that, I tend to want to get the mucus out so I blow even harder when doing the Acapella the next time. What is diaphragm breathing? I didn't know that tea was a bronchodilator -- where did you hear that from?

Take care,

Cassie

--No side effects. Doc says its Ok to take 600mg x2 dailyMy mucus production varies so much/ volume / color/ plugs . My ongoing dilemma is that I often don't know that I have an infection until I take my temperature !Now I'm on vacation from work I'm doing the Acapella every other day or every day. I'm really seeing the difference and am resolving to do it oftener than the once a week when I go back to work. I prefer the Acapella to the Flutter valve as you can use it lying down ( I often take a little nap while I'm doing it ( Ha Ha ) I put about 6 pillows under my hips to "tip" me down and let gravity help. The Acapella is a mucus clearing device that when you breathe into it it creates

a vibration

in your airways. It' really works for me . Its about $50 no prescription. The

acapella choice

is easier to clean.

Check it out

http://www.nationaljewish.org/disease-info/treatments/Acapella-Choice.aspx--

Hope that helps

, in your Google, just type "acapella breathing device". You'll get a lot of info.
