Guest guest
I saw this too and it made me sick to see. The punishment for abuse of animals should be equal to punishment for abuse to people. > > I saw this on the news last week and had to turn it off. Guest guest
Hi all, I just watched this yesterday and I am seriously thinking of becoming a vegetarian. I am a meat and potatoes girl- but what they were doing to those poor cows was more than I could stand. I always felt guilty eating meat but I hoped that the animals were treated humanely before they were made into food. I guess I was naive- Val --------------------------------- Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Try it now.
Guest guest
When I saw this I thought it was terrible. And then I wondered why they were so sick and thin. Could it be mold that they are sick from? Sharon H. --- In , Madeska <madeskv@...> wrote: > > Hi all, > > I just watched this yesterday and I am seriously thinking of becoming a vegetarian. Guest guest
The cows look sick and thin because they have been nurtured on hormones, antibiotics, and enriched grain so they grow fast. They have probably been shipped to the plant in trucks where they were jammed together and neither fed nor watered for days. This is factory farming, and most of the meat you eat was produced in this way. For a thoughtful discussion of factory farming and alternatives: http://www.alternet.org/story/14500/. Good luck finding a diet that works for you. .
