Guest guest
My mother mixes sure gel which is pectin with grape juice. She says it helps her pain. Mold folks should not drink grape juice as it has high mold content. > > Incidentally I went to health food store and found that another source > of soluable fiber that is not from 'grain', is fruit pectin. Guest guest
Barb, what do you use this soluble fiber for?
Guest guest
Interesting that she experiences relief from pain with this soluable fiber. It seems to be a trend. Do you think grape juice is moldier than other juices? I heard that all juice is made from 'soft fruit'. --- In , " jackiebreeze " <jackiebreeze@...> wrote: > > My mother mixes sure gel which is pectin with grape juice. She says it > helps her pain. Guest guest
I was told by an allergist many years ago to stay away from any grape juices because they carry high mold content, something in them makes them more moldy than most fruits. I have noticed if I buy fresh grapes I might still have a reaction. At my new house I have grape vines, I am wondering if this holds true for fresh off the vine grapes? > > > > My mother mixes sure gel which is pectin with grape juice. Guest guest
I wonder if there are any fruit juices that tend to be less moldy. I usually don't buy juice because it is a more concentrated source sugar/fructose than whole fruit, but it's nice to be able dissolve things in like CSM and other uses, like making fruit juice jello. I usually use pineapple to make fruit juice jello out of even though for some reason Knox says fruit juice, but not pineapple juice, for some reason (?), since my jello turns out fine with pineapple. Dr Marinkovich said fruit in good condition goes to market to be sold for fresh fruit and overly ripe fruit goes into juice, so with that thought non of it is good. If you are avoiding ingesting mold, you really need to buy whole vegetables and fruits, and nothing that has been stored like grains, nuts, and dried fruit and foods. --- In , " jackiebreeze " <jackiebreeze@...> wrote: >> I was told by an allergist many years ago to stay away from any grape juices because they carry high mold content, something in them makes them more moldy than most fruits.
