And this should give you some leverage as to why she can no longer live alone. I had a Mom who wouldn't consider anything until the MD said he would put her in a nh or she could come and live with me. She picked me, in a hurry. But I told her just before that, she could no longer live alone without help. She said she would fire them when I left, (I lived 12 hours away) and I told her if she did. I would make her come and live with me. (She didn't fire them!) Sometimes they don't even know what they have to do. And multiple choice is better. Hope this helps. Re: OT to Sandie HI Dena, Did the owners/managers of your mom's NH explain exactly how this happened to your mom? I'm sure they have to report it somewhere? How about buying some pads to put on either side of your aunts bed - won't help much but its got to be better than falling on the floor directly? Please hug those puppies for me. She does sound stubborn and set in her ways. Obviously she hasn't realized her living in her own place has now turned to a safety hazard. Praying for your strength in this. Way to go insisting setting the boundaries for your mom. I am still shocked at what can and does go on in NH's. I am pleased you took a stance and that you are documenting the cut. It sounds awful. I would want you in my corner for sure! Give the puppies hugs from me. I was talking with a friend just last night about them. Told her that if a Shepherd could be shipped from Germany to CA than surely one could be shipped from CA to IA. :-)) Good news for as well. I think of him often and add him to my prayers.
