Guest guest
I never heard of that. Are you sure it destroys the mold spores? You must have to wipe out the inside several times to get out any dust particles that it created. It has to go somewhere? Are you sure the microwave can be used for food afterwards? Guest guest
I would not do that as then using your microwave oven will make you sick. Its a slippery slope. There are those who would encorage you to throw out absolutely everything no matter how slight the level of contamination is. I think those people are probably speaking from the heart and they have a good reason to say that, their exposures were heavy ones and they are still sick. As far as science goes, people are better detectors of mycotoxins than most testing is. Something OFTEN will make reactive people very sick that wont show up on tests. Both in buildings and on personal posessions. If you are desperate not to throw away some items, but they are heavily contaminated, minimze your exposure by throwing literally EVERYTHING into thick, solid, sealable bags inside of plastic storage containers, *without cleaning or sorting anything* and then put it away somewhere safe to be dealt with a few *years* down the line. OUTDOORS and wearing PPE. The key is not exposing yourself to it now or if need be, then. Handle it as little as possible as its going into the bags and boxes and then dont open them indoors under any conditions. Dont even deal with them at all until a long time of health. If and when you are feeling much, much better and then, if and when you do open them, wear an N-100 particulate mask and also make sure to do it outdoors when ta strong, steady non gusty wind is blowing the dust away from you. Wear a good mask- and gloves, and sort out the junk and throw out IN SEALED BAGS or clean everything you want to keep THEN. Still treat it with caution and respect until you are 100% sure it doesn't make you sick.

Guest guest
Our important papers were cleaned off and put into plastic sheets. Three years later, not having inhaled that type mold since, I had to get my Birth Cert out. All the symptoms returned abruptly. Even with a nose mask on. It can get around the mask or into your mouth; then into your sinuses. It was hard to remember how much physical pain it caused me previously but then it all came back. I quickly returned it and shut the box. Went and took a shower and washed my hair. Brought all my clothes to the garage and used a lint brush on them. Then vacuumed the garage a few times. Because this stuff was toxic!
