" If Chip calls me a meathead again, I'll know I'm on the right track with this. >> can i beat him too it ronny ? as i tried to point out to cindy , not all who have chairi have this small , tight posterior fossa skull involvement .........it is one *pattern * than can be present and contribute to that individuals situation and dx , but its just that , one pattern that may be present ! this one is part of that genetic inheritance pattern, the duke work has been following , but is NOT the only chiari complex pattern .....some folks , like me , have a normal shape to thier skull , and yet a chiari present . its too easy to generalise with this , and mislead both those trying to get a grasp , and perhaps health care folks using the list to come up to speed too .......it seems to me , we need to be careful to explain not all folks with chiari will fit this bunch of symptoms / anatomy criteria . the text books used to discribe chiari as the classic type 2 .....this left out the newer pattern discribed by Dr Milhortat , Dukes studies ect ......but its easy to see now there are more than just these 2 patterns involved, when we look at the variations found through the lists , and current study/ understanding ......can we please stop generalising and stating *as fact * these misleading statements ?? they represent only some folks with chiari , and personally i expect better of us collectivly ! as i have stated before ,. it seems to me , there are several different patterns emerging in understanding , how a chiari forms , and how one *looks * seems to me , we only do ourselves harm trying to force square pegs in these round holes .....!. sarah in paradise ) (dander back up , grrrr !)..... ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
