Guest guest Posted January 16, 2008 Report Share Posted January 16, 2008 Did anyone see the Golden Globes presentation? I noticed " Away From Her " won a Golden Globe award. This is the movie Tony mentioned and sent the trailer for. It is a story of a woman with Alzheimer's. Since movies were mentioned I thought I would do a follow-up on this one. Still haven't seen Winged Migration. If Courage recommends it, and now Leona, I must see it. When I told my kids about it they just gave me that look, you know, the one that says " birds? I'm not going to watch a documentary about birds! " - I also thought the same thing - but I'm so glad I watched it. Not only are the birds amazing but the shots of all the countries they go through is breath taking. Birds do have the best seats in the house and they're no slouches either. Courage RE: Winged Migration I got the movie: Winged Migration DVD from Netflix and watched it recently. It was wonderful. Ray sat and watched the whole thing -- never went to sleep or got distracted. Thanks to the folks that recommended it. My grandchildren think my Netflix choices are somewhat unusual.
