Guest guest
Yes, there are some people who are allergic to bird dander or who get " bird fancier's lung " from the feces. However, I've raised many species of birds over the past 25 years and had clear x-rays whenever I had them taken. It wasn't until I was exposed to mold at the workplace that I became severely ill and developed interstitial lung disease. I was tested for the bird thing, which proved negative and I still maintain a small flock of birds. It's been 9 years since my mold exposure, so if it were the birds, I'm sure that the lung thing would have been progressive. In all my years of bird breeding, I've only heard of a handful of cases where breeders have developed lung disease from it.
