Guest guest
Hi all, Was it just me or did it seem like not a lot of email the last couple of days? Hugs, Donna R Caregave for Mom (after I brought her from WI to MI) for 3 years and 4th year in a nh. She was almost 89 when she died in '02. No dx other than mine. I'm still not invisible! Saw Lewlabelle the Manatee again on Sunday. Sitter called panicked yesterday because Millie wanted her to feed all the hallucinations in the room. Talked the sitter down and got home as soon as I could break free from school. took Millie back to the GP and was armed with Mayo Articles, Gomperts and Boeve, and meds lists. We had no problem getting exelon patch, ultram, and a pain patch for localized pain. I think the doctor's father-in-law was recently diagnosed, because we had a much easier time getting things that are LBD friendly. I left him the articles I copied, and had highlighted our issues as I read them today. Millie was not very well-behaved, but we did get to see the doctor. I packed juice, cookies, and her blanket in the car and she laid down on the table while she waited. It felt like the good old days of diaper bags and all that jazz! Lewlabelle, the manatee, played with me for an hour on Sunday. She is such a love! Nothing like hugging, kissing, and petting a manatee in the wild to get your mind off all the caregiving. I am so saddened for all the trials I see posted these last few days, and send a bucketful of " poor baby " s to each of you! I am seeing a trend here in LBD patients not always being close with the caregiver pre LBD. Could be I am projecting. Jim's mom was never a bundle of compassion, or concern. I will get back to you on the new drugs, and our reaction. OXOXOXOX, Carol
