Guest guest
Sickbuildings Terms and Conditions: To all members, Since there have been many new members I thought there would be a need to post this information. I can only keep this board safe for it's members with your cooperation and support. We want to keep this group a support group, so there are a couple of simple requests/rules concerning posting. One reason for this post is that there are several suspicious looking emails and profiles, such as; ozone purifiers (dealers/distributors), remediators with unproven procedures/products, natural, herbal and pharmacutical products many of which we know are either useless or can cause further harm. Or any political propaganda, sites, especially ones that are not related to the indoor air quality/environmental issue. Also, as a reminder to our " older " members. 1. No Advertising of businesses or organizations without permission. This is due to problems we have had in the past. 2. Spamming and harvesting of members. It is against Terms of Service to harvest email addresses from one group to invite them to another... http://answers./question/;_ylt=Av8Rfzgo1VDDyaZ41C6LG.8jzKIX? qid=1006030210945 As members you are able to manage your account to allow or disallow invitations to other groups, or being added to other groups without your knowledge. myprefs 3. Trolling for members. This above all things will not be tolerated. With your help is the only way we can prevent this. Please forward any emails, invites to other groups, radio shows, organizations, etc., that you may receive or did not request (in it's entirety) to me at: tigerpaw2c@... This will remain confidential. 4. No harassing any of the members privately. If a member asks you not to contact them privately, honor their request. 5. Profane language. 6. Promoting of products for self benefit. 7. Do not give medical advice. I know we have doctors on this group, they are not to give medical advice. We don't know anything about the member other than what he/she has told us. You can state your opinion or make suggestions and/or let them know what works for you. What works for one person may or may not work for another. 8. Don't bad mouth any member's doctor. You can suggest, " you may want to see another doctor, or get another opinion. " Sometimes we have to settle for what we can afford vs seeing the best physicians concerning this condition. 9. Off topic is allowed occasionally. Please start the subject line with OT. 10. Attachments are not allowed to prevent viruses. We have had alot of problems with this in the past. 11. If you are overwhelmed with messages, you can elect to receive them via daily digest or read them from the website. 12.When replying to a message, send only one or two sentences of that message. We don't need the entire message to be repeated. Remember to change the subject line to reflect the topic. Any of the rules that are ignored concerning spamming, advertising or promotion of product, harassing of other members, you will be removed. Guest guest
Normally when I put up the terms and conditions it's not that someone already here has done something wrong, it is directed at salespeople who would have just joined. We had an ozone sales person join this morning and tout a cure all with their air purifier. Needless to say their post did not go through and they were removed from the group.
